27 people died of fake alcohol in Iran
The number of deaths as a result of methyl alcohol poisoning in Iran increased to 27. This was reported on March 9 by the press service of the University of Medical Sciences Akhvaz. At least 20 people died in a province in Khuzistan province in south-west Iran. A total of 218 cases of alcohol poisoning per day were reported. The representative of the university explained that people consumed fake alcohol, which included methylene. In addition, seven people died trying to cure coronavirus with methyl alcohol. The dead used methylene, having previously found false information on the Internet about its allegedly healing properties in coronavirus. It is worth noting that currently there are no medicines and vaccines healing from coronavirus. Earlier, the news agency reported deaths as a result of methyl alcohol poisoning in Iran.
