The number of confirmed cases of coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 in Mexico reached 402,697, the country's chief epidemiologist, Jose Luis Alomia, said during a briefing on July 28. At the same time, 261,457 people have already been cured and discharged or deregistered in medical institutions. Also during the last fourteen days, symptoms were manifested in 49,678 patients, of which 14,246 are in hospitals. In addition, since the outbreak of the pandemic in Mexico, 44,876 patients have died from complications related to COVID-19 disease. According to the news agency, earlier the authorities of Mexico and the United States agreed to extend until mid-August the closure for the movement of the common land border due to the coronavirus pandemic.
