Iran will present a plan of response to US hostile actions
On September 20, the speaker of the Majlis (parliament) of Iran called on the National Security and Foreign Policy Commission to submit an appropriate plan for a serious response to preserve national interests in connection with hostile US actions. This was reported by the Iranian agency IRNA. The commission is designed to monitor the unilateral steps of the United States after the political and legal defeat of Washington in the international arena, Mohammad Baker Kalibaf said at a parliamentary meeting. According to him, the country should remain vigilant against hostile US actions. Unilateral US measures have also led to international disagreement, the speaker said in a speech at a session on the occasion of Holy Defense Week, which will be held in memory of those who sacrificed their lives during the Iran-Iraq war in the 1980s. He noted that the enemies could not achieve their goals against the Islamic Republic thanks to the resistance of the nation. Meanwhile, it is necessary to be vigilant so that the sanctions do not put even more pressure on people, Kalibaf emphasized.
