Egyptian authorities declared readiness to help Italy in the fight against COVID-19


Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi expressed his readiness to help combat coronavirus infection in an interview with Italian Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte. This was announced on April 3 by the press secretary of the head of Egypt Bassam Rada on Facebook. According to the spokesman for the Egyptian leader, El-Sisi expressed condolences to Rome for the death of Italian citizens and promised to give all possible support to Italy in the current COVID-19 against terrorism. In particular, through the exchange of experience and coordination of medical institutions of both countries. The Italian Prime Minister responded by announcing his country's intention to further strengthen cooperation between the two countries in international efforts to combat the coronavirus pandemic. As of 2 April, 865 cases of coronavirus infection had been officially confirmed in Egypt, 58 of them fatal. Earlier, the news agency reported on the call of the President of Egypt to increase strategic reserves in the country.
