South Korean Foreign Minister calls with representatives of diplomatic missions in Japan


On 21 April, the Minister for Foreign Affairs of South Korea held a videoconference with representatives of South Korean diplomatic missions in Japan, with which she discussed the coronavirus situation and the plan for the protection of fellow citizens in the region. This is reported by Yonhap News with reference to representatives of the Foreign Ministry of the country. According to them, representatives of the Embassy of South Korea in Japan and representatives of consulates general in Osaka, Fukuoka, Sendai, Yokohama took part in the video conference. Within the framework of the conference diplomats reported to the Minister on the epidemiological situation and measures to combat coronavirus in the regions, as well as on difficulties encountered in providing support to fellow citizens. In turn, Kang Gyung-hwa called on diplomats to maintain close contact with the local government of the countries to minimize the damage and inconvenience that South Koreans face or may face.
