China allocated about $15 billion for culture and tourism in 2019

The Chinese government allocated 106.5 billion yuan (about $15 billion) for the development of culture and tourism in 2019, Xinhua News Agency reported on June 21. This indicator was 14.7% higher year-on-year, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of China reported. According to a report published by the ministry, per capita spending in this area amounted to 76.07 yuan, which is 14.3% more than a year earlier.
